Flooding is a natural hazard that has the potential to significantly impact our local environment.
Level 3 NZQA Geography students at Mackenzie College, in collaboration with students from other schools in Canterbury, are studying public perception of the risk of flooding and how prepared households are for a flood.
The results will be shared with Council which will help us understand how informed and prepared residents are for flood events. This feedback will help inform our work in the Emergency Management sector.
The survey is open until Friday 21 March.
