Have you checked out the newly opened shared-use Fairlie to Kimbell section of the Central South Trail yet?
The trail provides a great off highway option for those walking or cycling between the towns.
The trail section was officially opened on Sunday 10 September by Mackenzie District Mayor Anne Munro.
In time, the trail is planned to extend further west towards Burkes Pass, and will eventually link up with the Lake Tekapo-Twizel section of the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail.
