The Lake Tekapo Kindergarten received a $5000 grant from Genesis Tekapo Township Fund in 2021, with the funds received put into a new outdoor native plant area.
Photos show the plant area under construction, assisted by students from the Kindergarten.
The funding round has been completed for 2022, and grants have been given as follows:
- $7,500 to the Lake Tekapo Sports and Recreation Trust, seed funding for a new sports facility at Tekapo.
- $7,627 to Tekapo Trails, towards gravel/metal on a planned new trail to Willow Bay.
