Unplanned Closures

ANZAC Day road closures - State Highway 8, Fairlie - Saturday 25 April 2026
State Highway 8 (Timaru – Fairlie) will be closed for short periods within Fairlie during the morning of Saturday 25 April 2026 to allow the ANZAC Day parade to march to and from the cenotaph.
The following side roads will be closed at their junctions with the state highway.
- School Road
- Talbot Road
- Regent Street
- Princes Street
Access to Kirke Street may also be affected.
Traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic lights.
The closures will start from approximately 10.15am, lasting for up to 30 minutes. Traffic management will be in place, and we ask all motorists in the area during this time to be patient and adjust your travel times if necessary.
