Road Conditions and Closures

There are no unplanned road closures at this time.

The following Mackenzie District roads will be closed for the 2024 NZ Silver Fern Rally, taking place on Monday 25, and Tuesday 26 November 2024.

Middle Valley Rd - From State Highway 79 to Raincliff Road/Spur Road intersection - 2:50pm – 7:50pm
Spur Road - From Raincliff Road/Middle Valley Rd intersection to Tondros Road - 2:50pm – 7:50pm

Mckerchars Road - From Cannington Road intersection to Gorge Road - 9:00am - 2:00pm
Gorge Road - From Mckerchars Road to Monavale Road intersection - 9:00am - 2:00pm
Monavale Road - From Gorge Road intersection to Rocky Gully Road intersection - 9:00am - 2:00pm
Rocky Gully Road - From Monavale Road intersection to Askins Road intersection - 9:00am - 2:00pm
Askins Road - From Rocky Gully Road to Mount Nessing Road intersection - 9:00am - 2:00pm

Rutherford Road - From Mt Mount Nessing Road intersection to Blainslie Road/Chamberlain Road intersection - 10:35am - 3:35pm
Chamberlain Road - From Blainslie Road/Rutherford Road intersection to Coal Pit Road intersection - 10:35am - 3:35pm
Coal Pit Road - From Chamberlain Road intersection to Waratah Road - 10:35am - 3:35pm
Waratah Road - From Coal Pit Road to Mackenzie Pass Road - 10:35am - 3:35pm
Mackenzie Pass Road - From Waratah Road to Haldon Road intersection - 10:35am - 3:35pm

Hakataramea Pass Road - 2kms from intersection with Haldon Road to 1145 Hakataramea Pass Road - 11:20am - 4:20pm

Each section will only be closed while the race is run then reopened. We apologise for any inconvenience while the rally is taking place.
