Details of payments made on behalf of Mana Whenua/Māori
Under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 we request:
a) A list of all payments made by the Council to consultancy/advisory firms (including subsidiaries) on behalf of mana whenua/Māori during the last three financial years (GST inclusive).

b) A copy of any agreement between the Council and these groups (including subsidiaries).

NOTE: This agreement has had the fee structure removed under 7(2)(b)(ii) to protect information where the making available of the information would be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of the person who supplied or who is the subject of the information.

Update to the request, regarding the invoices only Aoraki Environmental Consultancy is for consulting/advisory (your requested information).
Therefore, total costs for the previous three years need to be reduced to the following:
- 2022-2023 $306,711.82 (GST inclusive)
- 2023-2024 $105,906.81 (GST inclusive)
- 2024-2025 $52,891.39 (GST inclusive)
The guidelines provide for Council staff to undertake an hour’s work to collate information requested under LGOIMA at no charge. To date this work has taken over an hour. To undertake the work required to retrieve, collate, review and redact the information for the following two questions we would need to supply a quote.
As the information we are supplying for question (a) includes descriptions it may therefore cover your request requirements. Could you please advise if this is sufficient or alternatively, we can supply a quote which would be charged in accordance with the ombudsman’s guidelines at $38 per half hour.
