951 Lyford Lane - workshop recording

Request for recording of workshop on 26 May 2026 re: Lyford Lane, Twizel.

I refer to your request for information dated 26 May 2026. Please see below additional response information, including link to workshop notes, in blue.

Request

1) As with the information request sent on 12 May 2026, this letter is sent on behalf of a number of property owners and residents at Lyford Lane, Twizel, including [names removed].

2) It is understood there is a Council workshop today at 11:30 discussing the Lyford Lane proposed pressure wastewater system.

3)  As you know, the Lyford Lane residents are very concerned that the Council appears to be walking away from the proposed Lyford Lane pressure that it has committed to delivering in the 2025/2026 Annual Plan. These residents are now moving forward to ensure the Council progresses with the proposed extension of the pressure sewer system to Lyford Lane.

4) Accordingly, the residents request that workshop be recorded and made available for public viewing, including a link be sent to Lyford Lane residents, along with comprehensive written minutes of workshop. This is required for full transparency of the issue as many of the members are unable to attend the workshop in person.

A link to the Lyford Lane, Twizel - Recording of Workshop on 26 May 2026 was supplied on 15th June, included with response for 952 - Lyford Lane Wastewater.

Note - workshop recordings are made for administrative purposes and are not produced to the same standard as livestreamed Council meetings.

At the time of our earlier response, the workshop notes had not yet been approved and were therefore not available for release. They have now been approved by the Chair, and are available on the website: docspublished.com.au/mackenzie

Council Workshops are open to the public to attend. Earlier this year, councillors resolved not to livestream workshops or make them available on the website for public viewing. However, they are available by request through LGOIMA. As above, please note that workshop recordings are created for administrative purposes and are not produced to the same standard as live-streamed Council meetings.

5) We look forward to receiving confirmation the workshop will be recorded.

Confirmation of administrative recording supplied verbally (via phone) on the day request was made – 26 May.

NOTE: This file is available on request to LGOIMA@mackenzie.govt.nz
