Requested information about licenced premises in the Mackenzie District.
We have decided to release the information you have requested; - please find a spreadsheet with the requested information attached.
[NOTE: Supplied spreadsheet is available on request.]
Request:
I am writing to request information under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA).
We are requesting a list of all currently licensed premises within your district, including all license types (on-license, off-license, club license, special license, and any other current liquor license categories where applicable).
For each licensed premises, we request the following information:
- Business name
- Trading name (if different)
- Physical address
- Contact details held by the Council (such as email address and/or telephone number where available)
The purpose of this request is to support an independent audit that Heart Starter NZ is undertaking across licensed premises to better understand current emergency preparedness within the hospitality and retail alcohol sectors.
As part of this voluntary audit, we are gathering information on:
- Whether businesses have an appropriately stocked and maintained first aid kit.
- The number of staff who hold a current first aid certificate (defined as a certificate issued or refreshed within the past two years).
- Whether the premises has an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on site.
- If an AED is not available on site, whether staff know the location of the nearest publicly accessible AED.
This audit is not being undertaken on behalf of any government agency or regulator, and participation by businesses is entirely voluntary. Our intention is simply to gauge current levels of compliance with workplace first aid requirements under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, identify opportunities to improve emergency preparedness, and better understand how we can assist businesses in the future through education, training, and access to appropriate emergency equipment.
