Council has been successful in receiving funding from the Government's Tourism Infrastructure fund to assist in the improvement of public toilet facilities at Lake Ruataniwha, Lake Pukaki Lookout (SH8) and Fairlie town centre.
The Council aim to have the new facilities in place by Easter 2022.
Council need to understand the communities preferences and ideas for the location of the various facilities and the scale and type of facilities proposed.
A survey is being conducted that will help ensure Council make an informed decision on the future design and location of the facilities.
The survey is open for feedback until 15th October 2021.
