An urbanisation project is taking place on Aorangi Crescent, Tekapo, starting on Monday 10 January and finishing on Friday 4 February. The project is being undertaken by Schick Civil, who are contracted by Mackenzie District Council.
The project, taking place adjacent to Lake Tekapo School, includes new footpaths, pavement widening, minor drainage and a new raised pedestrian crossing. Parking bays are being created to ensure both pedestrians and motorists are safe whilst entering or exiting the school.
Whilst the work is being undertaken temporary traffic management will be in place. This will include a road closure outside Lake Tekapo School on certain days, with detours in place between Roto Place and D’Archiac Drive.
Residential access within the affected area will always be available throughout the duration of the project.
Closure Dates
Aorangi Crescent, from Roto Place to D'Archaic Drive will be closed from Monday 10 January at 12pm to Saturday 22 January at 5pm.
