PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Section 342(1)(a) of the Local Government Act 1974 and the Tenth Schedule thereto, Mackenzie District Council proposes to stop the sections of road described in this notice.

Once stopped it is proposed the land will be sold to the New Zealand Defence Force and amalgamated with their adjoining land for Defence purposes. In return, right of way easements will be granted and land transferred to the Department of Conservation and Council. A copy of SO Plan 518865 is available for inspection at the office of the Mackenzie District Council, 53 Main Street, Fairlie during normal office hours.
Any person objecting to this proposal is called upon to lodge an objection in writing at The Property Group Limited, PO Box 7240, Christchurch 8240, Level 2, 169 Madras Street, Christchurch 8011, or via email to mtodd@propertygroup.co.nz on or before 4pm 13 June 2025.
