Public Notice: Appointment of Member to Tekapo Community Board

Notice is given that the Tekapo Community Board, at its meeting held on 13 April 2026, resolved to fill an extraordinary vacancy on the Board by appointment, in accordance with Section 117A of the Local Electoral Act 2001.

The Board has resolved:.

  1. That the extraordinary vacancy be filled by appointment in accordance with 117A of the Local Electoral Act 2001.
  2. To appoint Maireire Norman to the Tekapo Community Board.
  3. That the appointment has been made following a process that included identification and consideration of potential candidates, and assessment of their community connection, relevant skills, and ability to represent the interests of the Tekapo community.
  4. That public notice of the proposed appointment, including the selection process, be given in accordance with Section 118 of the Local Electoral Act 2001.
