Tekapo Kerbside Bin Collection Updates - Thursday 2 July 2026.
Bin collection trucks for the green organic bins and blue glass crates reached Tekapo later on Wednesday 1 July, and were able to empty these bins.
At this stage the Friday Fairlie bin collections will be taking place as per normal.
Tekapo Kerbside Bin Collection Update – Wednesday 1 July 2026.
Yellow Recycling bin collections are taking place as normal today. However, due to road closures with the weather conditions, the trucks for the green organics bin, and blue glass crate collections have been unable to reach Tekapo.
We hope to collect green and blue bins tomorrow, Thursday 2 July, if road conditions allow.
At this stage the challenging weather conditions may mean collections are postponed until next week.
We will provide a further update tomorrow morning.
