Mackenzie District Council supports the community libraries at Fairlie and Twizel, operated by Mackenzie College, and Twizel Area School respectively.

The community libraries are committed to providing residents of the wider Mackenzie Region with a comprehensive, efficient and accessible library service, aimed to meet recreational, educational, informational and personal needs.

The Mackenzie Community Library is located on the grounds of Mackenzie College.

Hosting of public casual ‘Lit Nits’ book group every two months
