Belgravia Leisure (who are contracted to run council’s swimming pools in Twizel and Fairlie) have amended their policy relating to the supervision of children for the current pool season.
Children under 8 years old must be actively supervised by a caregiver who is at least 16 years old. Actively supervised means:
- Watching your child/children/children in your care at all times and be able to provide immediate assistance.
- Remaining at a distance from where you can see, hear and be heard by your child, and your child must be able to see you.
Children 5 years and under must be within arm's reach of their caregiver who must be at least 16 years old.
